Clients may reschedule their session when necessary. It is requested that 48 hours notice is given when possible, to allow for last minute bookings. The retainer fee paid upon booking ($50) is transferrable only once. Beyond that, an additional payment of $50 is required to reschedule any session, regardless of the amount of notice given. The rescheduling fee(s) will be added to the final balance. Once payments are made, they are nonrefundable.

No showing to a session (without notice prior to session date & time) will render a client unable to book any session with The Guestroom in the future. If a client does not respond to the confirmation message 2-3 days prior to their session, I still expect that they will show up to their scheduled session time.

Clients MUST be 18+ to schedule any portrait session with The Guestroom (no exceptions), regardless of outfit selection or permissions of parent or guardian. Clients may be asked to prove their identity & age upon booking a session by way of emailing a photo of a Government issued ID.

The Guestroom will only schedule intimate portrait sessions directly with the individual. Discussing terms of the scheduled session will only occur between The Guestroom & the client who is being photographed. Gifting sessions to someone can be done by way of certificates & credits. Contract agreements and model releases will be signed ONLY by the individual who will be photographed. This has legal implications and is very important for creating a safe environment. There are no exceptions.

Clients (including marketing models) are not permitted to use The Guestroom's images for financial gain, or commercial use. This is a violation of Canada Copywright Law. Examples of this unauthorized use would be Only Fans pages (unless approved), promotional material for business, Facebook/Instagram ads, Google ads, influencer links, youtube thumbnails, business logos, etc.

Marketing models who have paid a generous discount & signed a full model release, but have changed their mind about promotional permissions must pay the remaining balance of a regular priced session prior to any images being removed by The Guestroom.

Final payments (remaining balance, tax (hst), and any other charges) are collected online after the photography session is completed. Galleries are not touched until payment has been made in full. Invoices have a three day window, and then automatic email reminders will be sent daily. If payment is late, the final gallery will be delivered within the next 10-14 days (after payment).
Please remember that The Guestroom is a small business, and one-woman show. Editing and retouching thousands of images every week is time consuming work - I generally see 4-7 clients per week, and yet still complete all galleries within my deadline. I totally understand that waiting is hard, but please do not reach out to ask when your images will be delivered unless 14 days have passed since your final payment was made. Galleries are always delivered as soon as possible.
